Looking for styling chairs, washing units or color trolleys made to the highest craftsmanship standards? Kiela is a Dutch, family-owned company that has been producing salon furniture since 1939. We have visited the factory in Driebruggen ourselves and seen how each piece of furniture is made, from bending the frames to sewing the final stitch in the upholstery. Here you will find the Gogo and Brother styling chairs, the Aquascoop Brother, Gogo Aquaplus and Wellness Sofa washing units, as well as color trolleys and accessories.
Here are the most important things to consider before you choose.
Kiela covers three basic needs in the salon. The Gogo and Brother styling chairs are designed for cutting and styling. The Aquascoop Brother, Gogo Aquaplus and Wellness Sofa washing units are for hair washing, and each offers a different way for your client to sit during the wash. The Colour Trolley and HairButler color trolleys keep tools and color products close to the workstation. Start by mapping out where you actually need something in the salon before choosing a model.
Gogo has a slim tubular steel frame with a retro twist and is available in five colors: black, beige, green, yellow and red, all with a chrome cross base. Brother has stainless steel armrests and a more industrial look, and is available with either a cross base or a round base. Choose Gogo if you want a light, timeless look with a choice of colors, and Brother if you prefer armrests and a rougher, more industrial style.
The three washing units solve the task in different ways. Aquascoop Brother has a sloping design that lets you wash the hair without your client having to recline completely. Gogo Aquaplus has a tilting basin that you adjust yourself to the right position. Wellness Sofa is an open, lounge-style model that makes it easy for your client to sit down and get up. Consider how much space you have and how long your clients typically spend at the basin when choosing.
Kiela makes every piece of furniture for the individual customer, so you can customize colors, upholstery and details to match your salon instead of choosing only from fixed standard colors. If you have a particular look in mind that you cannot see in our range here on the page, it is worth asking whether it can be made.
Prices vary considerably across Kiela's range, from smaller accessories such as color trolleys to the larger washing units. If you are furnishing an entire salon, it can be an advantage to stay within the same series for a consistent look. When replacing a single item, you have more freedom to choose what best suits that particular station.
Gogo in black is the most popular styling chair, but it is also available in beige, green, yellow and red for salons that want a more distinctive choice of color. Brother with a cross base is often chosen by salons with an industrial style. Among the washing units, Aquascoop Brother is the most popular choice, while Wellness Sofa is chosen by salons that want a more lounge-style washing area. HairButler is the best-selling of the two color trolleys.

We have visited Kiela's factory in Driebruggen, Holland, ourselves and seen the production up close. Practically everything is done in-house, from bending the steel frames to sewing the final stitch that attaches the upholstery to a chair top. We walked around the workshop and saw the craftspeople working with metal, wood and upholstery under the same roof, and were welcomed by some of the most accommodating people we have met on a factory visit.
Kiela was founded in 1939 by Jan Kiela in Rotterdam. He later bought an old grain mill in Driebruggen and converted it into a factory—the same factory the company still produces from today. In the 1970s, his sons Ger and John Kiela took over the management, and the company is still family-owned. Its long history and complete craftsmanship under one roof mean that Kiela has full control over quality at every stage of the process instead of relying on subcontractors.
You get the same four fixed benefits, regardless of which Kiela product you choose:
Please note that made-to-order items and products customized specifically for you, such as a particular upholstery or color combination, are exempt from the general right of return. See the full terms in our terms and conditions.
You can see Kiela's furniture in our showroom, where you can feel the upholstery and see the different models in person. If you are unsure which model is right for your salon, Klaus Østergaard can help. He has more than 30 years of experience in salon design.
