Hairdresser: find the right equipment for your salon
Whether you have just started out as a self-employed hairdresser or run a salon with several work areas, this page brings all our categories together in one place. Instead of searching through our entire range, you can go directly to the category you need right now, whether that is chairs, washing areas, mirrors, lighting, extraction or storage. Whether you are equipping a single work area or the entire salon at once, the categories are designed so you can combine products freely across them, without being tied to one particular interior style or brand.
Popular products for hairdressers
The Stella saddle chair from Solida Furniture and the Round Black salon stool from Comfortel are among the best-selling chairs in our range because they offer the combination of price, comfort and durability most commonly needed in a busy salon. Nero, the 90 cm double-sided hairdressing mirror, is often chosen by salons with several work areas next to each other, as two clients can sit in front of the same mirror without having to share a single-sided one. If you are looking for lighting, NewLite Sunspot is one of our most popular lamps, developed specifically for accurate colour rendering at the work area, so you avoid the colour looking different when the client gets home in daylight.
Hairdressing chairs, salon stools and barber chairs
If you are equipping a work area for cutting, you will find hairdressing chairs and salon stools in several price ranges and styles, from simple models with a cross base to chairs with electric height adjustment and backrests. The more hours a day you spend working at the chair, the more worthwhile it can be to prioritise a model with good support, as you are the one who feels the consequences of a poor working position, not just the client. If you also provide barbering services, we have a dedicated barber chairs category with a different angle and firmer backrests, designed for clients to recline further. If a single work area needs to be used for several types of treatment, such as both cutting and beauty treatments, you can instead look at our treatment stools, which are designed to be adjusted for several purposes in one chair.
Washing units and washing areas
Our washing units category covers everything from simple models to washing units with massage, and you can view the entire selection across all price levels. If you only need the basin itself, for example because space is limited, a freestanding basin is often the most space-saving solution. If you would prefer a complete, exclusive washing system for the salon, you can take a closer look at Yume washing units.
Mirrors for the work area
A good mirror is one of the most frequently used items in the salon, both for the haircut itself and as part of the salon’s interior. We stock both single-sided mirrors for individual stations and double-sided models such as Nero, where two clients can sit side by side in front of the same mirror. Choose based on how many stations need to share mirror space and the look you want in the salon: dark and striking or light and simple.
Lighting that shows hair colours accurately
Ordinary room lighting is rarely sufficient at the salon stool. Hairdresser lighting is developed specifically to render hair colours accurately, so you do not risk an otherwise precise colour looking wrong when the client gets home in daylight. If you need to mount several lamps in a row along multiple stations, take a look at our track systems. If you want a lamp developed specifically for the industry, you can read more about NewLite, which is only sold by us.
Extraction at the colour station
Extraction is legally required in many salons with employees when working with hair colour and other chemical products. An extraction arm positioned at the colour station removes fumes directly at the source instead of allowing them to spread throughout the salon. This is both a workplace safety requirement and an advantage for the indoor climate for you and your clients. View the full selection of fixed and flexible solutions in the category.
Storage and workstations
For the work area itself, we have trolleys for tools and products, as well as a colorbar for colour mixing. If you need to keep towels and products organised between treatments, a washing cabinet by the washing area is a practical solution. In the reception area, you will find reception desks for welcoming clients and retail shelving if the salon also sells products for clients to take home.
Waiting area and atmosphere
The client’s experience begins before they sit in the chair. Waiting furniture gives clients somewhere to relax while they wait, while decorative lighting helps create the right atmosphere in both the waiting area and the rest of the salon. A well-designed waiting area is often what clients remember first, which is why it is worth giving it just as much thought as the work area itself.
Brands we stock
Across our categories, we stock recognised brands such as Comfortel, Solida Furniture, Mirplay, Takara Belmont and Kiela, as well as our own NewLite lighting range, developed in collaboration with us and only available from us. If you are unsure which brand suits your salon, you can view the full brand overview and compare them across the range before making your choice.

Frequently asked questions about equipment for hairdressers
I have just started out as self-employed. Where should I begin?
Start by mapping out what type of station you need to equip and how many clients you expect to have at one time. Most new hairdressers start with a salon stool, a mirror and suitable lighting, then build on this with a washing area and storage as needed. If you need to equip an entire station from scratch, you can contact us for advice instead of having to navigate all the categories on your own. This is often the quickest way to find a solution that genuinely suits your budget and space, rather than guessing your way through the categories one by one.
Do you also sell equipment for hairdressers who work on the go or from home?
Yes, several of our categories, especially mirrors, smaller trolleys and standalone salon stools, also work well for hairdressers without a permanent, large salon. If space is limited, a freestanding basin is often a better choice than a full washing unit, as you avoid having to allocate space for an entire chair with an integrated basin. If you choose a complete washing system in a small room instead, it will often take up more space than the work station itself, making it harder for you to move freely around the client. Measure the available space before choosing, and stick to the categories that genuinely match the way you work. If you are unsure, we are happy to point you in the right direction.
Do you also have equipment for barbers and beauticians, not just hairdressers?
Yes. Although this page is built around hairdressing, we also stock dedicated categories for barbers and beauticians, including barber chairs and treatment stools with features designed for treatments other than cutting. A barber chair typically has a different angle and a firmer backrest than a standard salon stool because the client needs to recline further during barbering, while a treatment stool is often designed to be adjusted to several different positions. If you choose a standard salon stool for barbering, you may find that neither you nor the client sits optimally throughout the treatment. If you run a salon with several services under one roof, you can combine equipment across categories without having to shop in several different places.
Can I see the equipment in person before deciding?
Yes. More than 175 products are displayed in our showroom, allowing you to experience how furniture and equipment work together in a real salon setup. This is particularly useful if you are choosing between several models in the same category, as differences in comfort, upholstery quality and hydraulic movement are often clearer in person than in pictures. For example, a picture cannot show how soft an upholstery feels or how smoothly a chair rises and lowers. Klaus Østergaard, who has more than 30 years of experience in salon design, is present in the showroom and is happy to help compare the models if you have questions along the way.
What warranty and returns policy applies across the categories?
You get at least a 2-year warranty on all furniture and equipment, regardless of which category you shop in. The warranty covers manufacturing defects in frames, upholstery, hydraulics and other moving parts, whether it is a single salon stool or a complete washing system. Our general 14-day returns policy also applies across categories, but does not cover made-to-order items or products customised specifically for your order, for example if you have chosen the colour or dimensions of a product yourself. If you are unsure whether a particular item is covered, we always recommend asking us before ordering, so you know the terms in advance.
