Are you looking for an extraction arm designed for salons from the outset, rather than an industrial system scaled down for smaller spaces? PermaVent is developed and manufactured in Denmark, and differs from many other extraction solutions by coming as a ready-to-use, complete package. Here you’ll find extraction arms, motors and brackets from PermaVent, ready to install in your salon.
Here are the most important things to consider when putting your solution together.
Many extraction systems require you to select and combine the motor, arm, filter and brackets separately, which requires technical knowledge and can easily lead to installation errors. PermaVent is designed differently: you choose the parts you need yourself—arm, motor and brackets—but they are designed to fit directly together without additional adjustments or accessories. This makes it easier to end up with a system that genuinely works as intended.
PermaVent’s extraction arm is installed using either a wall bracket or a ceiling bracket, both for 100 mm point extraction. The wall bracket is a good choice if you have a fixed workstation with space on the wall. The ceiling bracket is ideal if you want to keep the wall clear, or if the workstation is not positioned against a wall. Both brackets are available in white.
PermaVent’s extraction motor with silencer is quiet and designed for installation inside the wall, and is suitable for ø160 mm spiral ducting. It’s worth prioritising a silenced motor if it will run throughout the working day, as noise can otherwise become a nuisance for both you and your clients over time.
PermaVent’s range also includes ATEX- and ESD-certified variants, which are relevant if your salon or clinic has specific requirements for explosion protection or static electricity. For a standard hair salon, the standard solution is typically sufficient, but it’s useful to know about these options if you’re unsure what applies to your business.
PermaVent’s extraction arm is designed to be pushed directly into a 100 mm spiral duct or bracket, so you don’t need to be an installer to set it up correctly. The motor itself, which is built into the wall, should be installed by an authorised electrician to ensure that the system is connected correctly.
The white and black extraction arms are the best-selling products in PermaVent’s range, often combined with the extraction motor with silencer for a complete system.
PermaVent’s extraction arm is available in black and white, and is made to custom dimensions for use in salons. The arm is installed directly into a 100 mm spiral duct and is compatible with both wall and ceiling brackets from the same range, allowing you to choose the installation that best suits your workstation.

You get the same four fixed benefits, no matter which PermaVent product you choose:

PermaVent is developed and manufactured in Denmark, specifically for use in salons and clinics, unlike many extraction solutions originally made for laboratories or industrial workshops. The parts—the arm, motor and brackets—are designed to fit directly together, so you avoid having to make adjustments or find additional accessories to get the system working.
Wall brackets are a good choice if you have a fixed workstation with space on the wall behind or beside the chair. Ceiling brackets are ideal if you want to keep the wall clear, or if your workstation is not positioned against a wall. Both are installed with the same extraction arm, so the choice mainly depends on what works best in your salon.
ATEX certification is relevant where explosion protection is required, while ESD certification is relevant where static electricity must be avoided. Most hair salons don’t need these variants, but they are available in PermaVent’s range if your business has specific requirements. If you’re unsure, you can contact us for clarification.
Yes, the arm itself is pushed directly into a 100 mm spiral duct or bracket, without requiring an installer. If the motor is to be built into the wall as part of a larger system, we recommend having it installed by an authorised electrician to ensure that the system is connected correctly.
