Ergonomics
Maybe you have already tried sitting on a salon stool with classic wheels (similar to those on an office chair), where the chair refuses to roll properly because the wheels are filled with hair, dust, and other debris. It’s not a very good experience – especially not in a busy salon where you are constantly rolling around on the chair. That’s why we want to introduce you to Roller wheels: the new standard specifically developed for hair salons.

The only advantage of classic wheels is that many hairdressers are already familiar with them. Some are even used to the chair barely rolling because the wheels are often clogged. Ironically, this is actually a “benefit” for some: If the floor slopes slightly, the chair won’t roll away. But looking at functionality in a salon, it’s far from optimal. Classic plastic wheels are not made to handle the amounts of hair that fall on the floor every day. They quickly become a daily irritation when you repeatedly have to clean them – or buy new ones.
Roller wheels are made so you can focus on your work instead of struggling with a salon stool that won’t move. The hair-repellent cover means that hair and other dirt don’t get into the ball bearing itself, where they normally create friction and cause the chair to “jerk” or lock up.
You don’t have to pick or cut hair out of the wheels.
No static electricity is generated, which can attract hair and dust.
Less wear because you don’t constantly have hair grinding on the ball bearings.
The only thing to be aware of is that Roller wheels roll incredibly easily. If your floor is a bit uneven or slanted, you may find the chair “slides” away when you’re not sitting in it. For most, it’s a matter of getting used to – but it’s still a sign of quality, as it shows just how free the wheels are from hair blockages.
I will always recommend choosing Roller wheels for salon stools – especially in a professional hairdresser salon. They give you:
While classic wheels may seem familiar, they are simply not made to handle a salon where hair, dust, and other particles constantly fall on the floor. Roller wheels, on the other hand, are designed specifically for this reality and ensure your chair works optimally – every time. Still have a pair of office chair wheels under your salon stool? Then consider switching to Roller wheels. Once you feel the difference in how easily it rolls – and how much time and irritation you save – you’ll probably never look back. That’s why we call Roller wheels the new standard in the hairdresser industry.
